something like.. a tinge of disappointment.
(don't ask me why, melvyn feels the same way too :[ )
wanted to do a short post, but after bloghopping, I guess I shall be nice and do a longer one.
I remembering listening to the top 100 songs of 2008 on 98.7fm on this day, just last year.
The concept of a new year didn't sink in until just now when I received Seraphyn's sms asking me to tune into 98.7 for top 100.
so I'm feeling kinda jaded now.
I have no comments for the year 2009.
It wasn't as good as 2008, neither was it as ruined as 2007.
so I'll just happily assume that its a peaceful year :)
This year marked a year of change.
The year I become 16, The year which changed the way I think.
The year that changed my writing style, the year which I kinda got a little taste of reality and grew up a little bit.
Things may not have been all smooth sailing, just like how life isn't a bed of roses and all but still, I'm thankful for a few things :)
Things to be thankful for this year?
1) Teachers.
This very special group of people have made an extreme impact on my life.
2) Friends.
You all are the ones who went through a lot of bullshit with me.
Without you I may be more of a wreck than I am now, so thank you all for 'damage control' :)
3) 48th.
I'm very thankful for these guys.
Without them I wouldn't be who I am today.
4) Setbacks.
Lessons learnt will forever have an impact on my life.
From Physics SPA's gradient to mistakes other people make, I've learnt a lot.
5) Music.
My best friends when I'm alone.
I have a new defination of good music now.
& of course, you, you and you! :D
so, with advent of a new decade, I guess our new year resolutions must be extra special.
didn't have a habit of making them until you know, last year.
2009 changed me alot, just like how 2007 and 2008 did.
so I guess I'll learn the mistakes I comitted and make my new year resolutions from there.
I mellowed out a lot. (haha yes admit it, I'm no longer angsty.)
so, in no order of importance:
1) I must not underestimate the power of emotions.
2) I should stop being all stern and serious, because its bad for my health. (though i really see the need to be like that)
3) I should stop being so defensive of myself. (yes that should have been a resolution since many years ago)
4) I should stop thinking that much, alot of white hair already.
5) I need to be happy, there's alot of bullshit out there for me to face.
6) Grow closer to God. I keep telling myself that I have to do this and that but its not working, so I guess I'll have to do something else about it.
7) *a very private resoltuion*
8) Be more disciplined (this includes reducing the use of vulgarities tyvm) and help someone out when they really need it.
9) Have a better memory (and start remembering birthdays)
10) Be more confident and sincere, stop being so hypocritical and stand up for what I think is right.
11) Stop taking everything for granted. (I don't know how to go about this one but I guess I'll figure it out somehow)
11 resolutions for a better 2010!
Anyway, I have a lot of things on hand.
Letters that I promised myself to write, and you know, stuff like that.
I should stop sending New Year Smses because they jam the lines.
Just be a nicer person.
Everyone will appreciate it.
so anyway,
Happy New Year.
Have I finished well this year?
