"I have a memory. It wasn't exactly happy, But its the best I have."
-Harry Potter
okay. So I'm actually 16 now.
I'm not going to rant on about what I think but neither am I going to write about how happy my birthday was, because it wasn't exactly joyous.
Today. I was fortunate to have a family that is happy for me, though they don't say it, and some friends to accompany me. But while the outing itself is perfectly fine, I'm feeling a little crestfallen about how it came about.
-a fellow december baby.
I feel the same way.
You know, you don't live your life just to look back one day.
You don't celebrate for the sake of remembering it, right?
so what if you're 16? so what if you're 21?
At the end of the day will it ever matter?
I don't really think that there's a need for a grand celebration.
Not someone who likes grand occasions.
I'm not jumping for joy, but neither am I bitching about my life. But regardless of how I feel I really am grateful to the people who wished me a happy birthday and especially those who spent time with me. Really.
Thank You to those who offered me their "blessings"! :D
For those who forgot, don't worry.
Even though 16 comes only once in a lifetime, there's always 17 :)
Primary School friends, Classmates, peeps from other schools, CCAmates.
Close friends, Acquaintances.
And even those who I never expected to remember.
Thank You :)
You too :)
I should start remembering birthdays too.
Anyway, I'm very displeased with the school management committee but its alright.
Teachers I know its not your fault.
3 more years, hang on there.
I know everyone is tired but all I can say is "hang on there", the days will get better.
shall not touch on this topic.
So let me summarise my day yesterday:
my day started at 1pm. very sleepy.
makan at this placed called cafe something. can't remember the name.
the food was okay.
Good food once in a while won't hurt, but still... ):
Why do people dream about becoming famous and dirty rich when there're people out there who are struggling to make end's meets.
of course I do want to be rich, but you know, but its the kind of rich where I can live a comfortable life and have the ability to help others.
soccer with zihui, chinhow, jiajun, shinwei, kenan, Sihan, and the boys who are 5 years older than me.
Michael Long, Terrence, Jeremy (Yeo), Jeffery and Raman.
Chinhow super lame.
injure hand then make me be keeper.
know I scared of ball right. kns. =.=
and I knew something was going to happen.
I flinched everytime they tried to score a goal.
scary much.
Michael was attacking.
Then the middle CHINHOW NEVER DEFEND. (walao eh dun know what he doing sia)
Then Michael is first class sniper lah zz.
I was in the middle of the goal post.
Then Michael kicked the ball.
gonecase.
Not everyone gets a kick in the balls on their 16th birthday.
Anyway its the one and only ball I saved.
Michael was like "Great Save!" Haha very funny.
Zihui went "Happy Birthday LimPin!"
it was quite epic.
and I almost saw stars.
Nevertheless I'm very thankful for their presence.
I'm really thankful for 48th.
Maybe I won't become a primer, but I'll defenitely go back, visit and maybe help out when I have the time.
I don't think I'll regret signing up as a sec one facilitator too.
I'll make an impact on the lives of those who are 5 years younger, just like how these guys changed me.
I realised that I have my fair share of happy memories as well.
I had a childhood that I think not many people had.
Its just that I keep hanging on the the bullshit everyone throws at me and I let slip of these memories.
I was listening to the songs on my handphone that day and I realised that I could remember where each song come from.
Who sent me those songs, who where or how I got it.
Maybe someday I'll share my story with someone.
This is how I got my new url.
Anyway, I remember four years ago on my birthday, I was posted to Zhonghua Secondary School.
I'll remember this gift.
Things will work out for me, the way it did these four years.
Like, I never demanded to fly, but at the back of my mind I was hoping that at the very least, I wouldn't need to crawl on this day, and just feel the ease and comfort of walking normally.
Happy Belated,
Limpin.
